Identifying the contents of various equipment in surface treatment workshops helps prevent accidents or health hazards caused by chemicals.

The purpose of identification is to provide regular or occasional users with the minimum information necessary to protect themselves from exposure to risks presented by hazardous chemicals that may be found in a surface treatment bath, a pipeline, a ventilation duct, or any other work equipment.

This information covers both:

• technical aspects: bath function and tank number;
• safety: hazardous product and type of danger;
• environment: compatibility group of products and effluents.

The use of a color symbol allows, at a glance, to detect a potential risk of chemical incompatibility.

This system remains a means of rapid information, which complements the safety data sheets of raw materials and bath technical sheets.

The "VK Tank Labeling" web application allows the editing and creation of these labels in a simple way while complying with current regulations. It also allows storing in the "cloud" the configuration of your machines and equipment.

Each machine contains its associated labels. They are sorted by tank number and label type.

Identification of a container

Tanks of a line, whether for treatment, rinsing, drying or other.

Tank, reservoirs, reactors, evaporators and other capacities used in wastewater treatment plant

Isolated containers, used for a treatment

Containers intended for storage, including "buffer" capacities or structures serving as storage.

Identification of ventilation ducts

Ducts, conduits and devices used to suck in and treat polluted air.

Identification of pipelines

Connecting pipeline, more or less fixed, between the aforementioned containers

Fixed or mobile closure devices (valve, plugs, ...)

Bulk delivery or discharge orifices.

Creating a new label is done by selecting a template from a pre-established list:

The label editor is presented in 2 parts: the left part allows filling the various fields of the label and the right part displays in preview the generated PDF file.

The application is compatible with Chrome and Firefox. It also works with Internet Explorer but, for the latter, displaying labels in preview is not possible.
